Are you up for another challenge? We at It Takes One: To Change the World are declaring February - Share The Love Month. Share The Love works on the same principles as Random Acts of Kindness and the Pay It Forward principles. We are not looking for our R.A.O.K. to be returned, if anyone asks to be able to repay you, simply ask them to Share The Love with someone else!

Why February? February is the shortest month of the year, this year, being a leap year (so you actually have 366 days to perform R.A.O.K. in 2012) there are 29 opportunities to show love to others. February 14 th is also Valitines Day, so we should have an appropriate challenge on the 14th February. 

Meet Nick Vujicic from  Life Without Limbs. Nick currently holds the world record for the most consecutive hugs in 24 hours. Other attempts include:  Guinness World Records - 'Hug It Out!' ;Most Hugs in 24hr Aspen Nick's love for life and others is infectious. He loves hugs more than anyone I know and he isn't afraid to ask others, regardless of who they are for a huge. I recently read a quote, "A hug is like a boomerang, you can return it straight away and no body minds!" 

  

Nick's Challenge To Share Hugs!

Nick was born with no arms and no legs, despite his disability and limitations he travels the world and challenges others to life life without limits. If you need some inspiration to Share The Love this February then check out Nick's website. So circle the 14th February and mark it Hug Day 2011! I am hoping to organise a hug-a-thone of some description.

If you are interested in hosting a Share The Love - Hug Day Event in your city, please email me to register your event. You can do anything you like as long as it involves hugs! You may like to combine your event as a fundraiser for a charity (Nicks, Life Without Limbs would make an ideal charity to raise money for on our Share The Love - Hug Day 2011!)  or have a go a a world record attempt. Even better get the media involved. If you have a suggestion for and event post if on our Facebook page.

  

During February I like to start a Share The Love Facebook page and see how many likes we can get in one month. Spreading the Love through our social next works. I will set up an events page on our It Takes One Facebook page. If everyone is able to use our Share The Love logo as their Facebook profile photo then our message should spread quite quickly.
